Are American Defense Treaties Not Worth The Paper They Are Written On?
Under Obama, it certainly appears to be the case.
The latest is the Administration's refusal to do anything about the Marshall Islands' registered freighter seized by Iranian
. This, even though the U.S. is by treaty obligated to defend the Marshall Islands, and, in fact, the Marshall Islands are fully dependent on the U.S. providing its defense.
