Republicans have been handed a stunning victory in the mid-term election, seizing control of the Senate. However, the Democrats will try and spin it, this election was a referendum on Obama and his policies. Mitch McConnell will likely be the new Senate Majority leader come January. So what is one of the first things out of his mouth? A statement that he was willing to work to find common ground with Obama. If that is the attitude the senior Republicans will be taking, they might was well concede the Presidential race in 2016.
Update (11/5/2014): McConnell gave an interview with Time Magazine, promising that he would not repeal Obama Care in its entirety, and otherwise suggesting reconciliation with Obama.
