How To Lose A War

Victor Davis Hanson explains that the way to lose a war is to go into one with no set goals, no set criteria for "winning," and no exit strategy--which seems to be how we handle most wars anymore. Whether a war has a limited or expansive objective, the goal is to destroy the enemy's (i.e., the populace's) will to fight. We just don't have the stomach to do it anymore.
