If Brains Were Money, Obama Would Be Broke

One of the distinct advantages that U.S. troops had over the Taliban and Iraqi insurgents was body armor (which reduced casualties) and night vision equipment (which allowed the U.S. troops to own the night). So, it is with no great surprise that the Obama Administration has now authorized giving this same type of equipment to terrorists. From CNN:
President Barack Obama has signed off on a new package of nonlethal aid for Syrian rebels, U.S. officials tell CNN, signaling his administration is cautiously wading further into the conflict.
... Officials said it is expected to include equipment such as body armor, night vision goggles and other military equipment that is defensive in nature, but could be used to aid in combat by Syrian rebels battling forces loyal to President Bashar al-Assad.
I'm sure there will be a bunch of "wink-wink, nudge-nudge" agreements that the equipment remain with "non-terrorist" rebel groups. But does anyone seriously think that this type of equipment is not going to "walk" its way to our enemies?
